Laser Cladding. Now available at HVT.
As part of ongoing work with a multinational remanufacturer, HVT was tasked with recovering a MT4400 Front Wheel Group (FWG) Spindle (452 – 0419) flagged for scrap. The part, valued at $61,500, was showing heavy fatigue in multiple stress zones. Rather than replace it, the client turned to HVT for a high-integrity repair that kept cost, downtime and logistics under control.
The spindle had sustained significant damage in critical load areas.
Without intervention, this would have meant full replacement, and all the delay, cost, and shipping complexity that comes with it.
HVT rebuilt the spindle using a layered, precision-engineered approach:
The work was completed in-house, using HVT’s full weld, spray, and machining capabilities to deliver an end-to-end solution.
This job proved that with the right tools and discipline, parts written off by others can be recovered to full performance. For the client, it was a clear win on cost, lead time and sustainability.
Let’s assess it before you replace it. HVT strives to turn worn-out assets into operational resources.
